After checking into the hotel and grabbing a bite on Thursday we made our way to Sam Houston Park to the Pecha Kucha. The presentations involved slide and quick presentations by several people on different topics. The room was a bad choice for this sort of presentation with low ceiling, lots of pillars and lots of people. I could see parts of the screen but not much. The Ukele Moment was fun but what the discussions of the similarities and differences between English and American footbul didn't seem to apply to the conference. Keith Osfeld from the Houston Children's Museum talked about using technology to teach children. They are currently working on having floor staff utilize personal mobile devices on the museum floor.
The rest was just too difficult to see and lost on me so onto the rest of the conference.
