Thurs ACM Breakfast

Hello! It was an early start this morning at 7:30 - I haven't adjusted to the time yet. The hotel we're in is very much like the Luxor in Vegas - with the rooms around a triangle atrium. It's neat to be able to peer down over the walkway and see everyone.

The breakfast was really nice and we had the great pleasure of sitting with the women from an exhibit consultant firm "Mindsplash". They also happened to have sponsored the breakfast! The women were very friendly, one of whom's daughter went to school in Claremont. The elder of the two originally worked at the very nice DuPage Library, which a heavy focus on child development. She said she left to be able to help museums around the country plan and design - no problem was two small and they specialized in small budgets. We traded cards at the table. Renee did a superb job talking up our PALs to them. I haven't seen any of their work yet, we can look at the exhibitor booths tomorrow, but their service level is top notch!

  1. Mindsplash is the company that designs the air exhibit RK really likes - http://www.mindsplash.net/mindsplash/our_work/airworks/our_work-airworks-pop.html. They seem very into what they do, but I personally thought their exhibits were a little rudimentary - a little garage workshop-esque. But, the Airworks exhibit is awesome!
